H&FW directs strict compliance on leave procedure

DIMAPUR: Department of Health & Family Welfare has notified that all medical officers and personnel under the department must strictly adhere to the prescribed procedure for availing leave.
As per the order, no officer shall leave station without obtaining prior sanction of leave from the competent authority. Further, chief medical officers (CMOs) and medical superintendents proceeding on leave must, in addition to obtaining sanction, inform the deputy commissioner of the respective district before leaving station. Proper leave records are to be maintained at the level of the leave sanctioning authority.
The department cautioned that any violation of these instructions will be viewed seriously and dealt with in accordance with applicable government regulations. The order has been issued for strict compliance by all concerned, a DIPR report stated.
