
Advisor, home guards & civil defence and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), Noke Wangnao, inaugurated the new office building of home guards and civil defence (HG&CD) commandant’s office at Central Training Institute (CTI), Toluvi here Friday. Delivering the inaugural speech, Noke acknowledged the department for successfully completing the commandant’s office.
Being the centre of training for HG&CD and SDRF, he encouraged the department, officials and trainers to perform their best to make the state a safer place to live in, especially in times of natural calamities.
Presenting the technical report, executive engineer, PEP, Chumoukedima, Hutoshe informed that the contract was allotted to M/s NB Consortium.
He informed that the construction work commenced on October 11, 2019 and was completed on July 31, 2021, with a total project cost of the two-storeyed office building at Rs. 3,78,28,000. Delivering the welcome address, director general, HG&CD, SDRF and prison, Rupin Sharma informed that the state government had notified that CTI would act as an institute in the state to create and also certify private security agencies. Earlier, the programme was chaired by deputy commandant general, Medozhalie Pienyü, while CTI Church pastor, Asemba Longchar said the invocation and commandant general, Bendang Lemtur proposed vote of thanks.
