A high-level Nagaland BJP delegation led by deputy chief minister Y Patton called on Union Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju at his official residence in New Delhi on Monday.
Comprising Health & Family Welfare minister Pangnyu Phom; Transport, Civil Aviation, Railway & Land Record minister Paiwang Konyak; PHE minister Jacob Zhimomi; Soil & Water Conservation, Women & Child Development and Geology & Mining minister Kashiho Sangtam; Higher & Technical Education minister, Temjen Imna Along; Law & Justice, Border Affairs and Treasuries & Accounts adviser, Dr Longriniken, Power adviser Tovihoto Ayemi, Labour Employment & Skill development and CAWD adviser Kazheto Kinimi; Tourism, art & Culture adviser Khehovi Yepthomi; Nagaland Bamboo Mission chairman and State BJP president Visasolie Lhoungu, the delegation emphasized the need to bring all-round development with investments in infrastructure and economic growth with special focus on road connectivity to all major districts of the State during the meeting.
The team also conveyed the strong desire of the people of Nagaland for a lasting peace and the need to bring an early political solution through the ongoing political dialogue and peace process.
In response to their appeal, Rijiju assured them to give his best to help Nagaland and other North-eastern States in all possible ways.
