The directorate officers, staff and fraternity of Higher Education Nagaland has expressed deep grief to learn of the demise of former director of the department, Chubainla Jamir on October 25.
A condolence message from Higher Education director Kuholi Chishi stated that the departed had joined the teaching faculty of Fazal Ali College, Mokokchung in 1977, later becoming the principal of the same college.
Late Chubainla joined the directorate of Higher Education in March 2008 as additional director and became the director in 2010 till her retirement in 2012.
Recalling her humility, amicable nature and contributions, the department expressed its solidiraty with the bereaved family and conveyed prayers for the departed soul to rest in peace.
