DIMAPUR: The 33rd District Level Hindi Diwas, Peren Unit, was held at Government High School, Mhainamtsi on September 12, with Headmistress Ingaulule Liegise as the chief guest. Addressing the gathering, Liegise said, “Teaching Hindi is definitely connecting the small corners of Nagaland.” She highlighted the importance of the Hindi language in the state and lauded the efforts of Hindi teachers for bringing about a mindset shift among students towards learning Hindi.
Speaking on the significance of the language, she noted that Hindi is a rich language, originating from the Devanagari script and recognised by the Constituent Assembly in 1949 as an official language.
