Hindu devotees in Dimapur celebrate Ram Mandir inauguration

In a display of unity and religious fervour, hundreds of Hindu devotees from across Dimapur congregated at Shri Ram Janaki Thakurbari temple on Monday evening to pay obeisance for the inauguration of Ram Mandir at Ayodhya. The atmosphere at the temple was filled with devotion and celebration as the devotees expressed their joy and reverence for the inauguration of the much-awaited Ram Mandir.
The religious ceremony at Ayodhya led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the day marked a significant milestone for the Hindu community across the country.


As a symbol of devotion and solidarity, around 11,000 diyas (earthen lamps) were lit up in and around the temple. The devotees in traditional attires participated in various rituals and prayers, while religious leaders, community elders and BJP workers addressed the gathering, emphasising the importance of unity and harmony among the followers of Hinduism.


The vibrant celebration reflected the cultural richness of the Hindu community in Dimapur and showcased the shared enthusiasm for the construction and inauguration of the Ram Mandir. The inauguration ceremony in Ayodhya marked the realisation of a long-standing dream for millions of Hindus.


Meanwhile, Nagaland Bihari Samaj vice-president advocate YP Gupta informed Nagaland Post that a morning yatra (march) was also conducted on Sunday morning, where around 9,000 Hindu devotees marched almost one kilometre from railway station to Ram Janaki Thakurbari Temple.
