Historic Republic Day bike rally unites 237 riders in Nagaland

DIMAPUR, JAN 26 (NPN)

Marking the 77th Republic Day of India with patriotism and unity, Friends On Wheels Motorcycle Club Nagaland, in collaboration with 9 Assam Rifles Jalukie, organised the “Ride With Pride – Vol. V” Historic Bike Rally. The event witnessed a record participation of 237 riders, including female bikers, making it one of the largest motorcycle rallies in the region.
Motorcycle enthusiasts from clubs across Nagaland, Karbi Anglong, and West Bengal joined the rally, riding together under one banner. The event stood as a powerful symbol of national pride, brotherhood and youth-driven energy, guided by the motto “Driven by Youth, Powered by Speed.”
The rally was supported by Bharat Petroleum and Xude and graced by DIG, HQ 6 Sector Assam Rifles, Brigadier Mayank Singh Janwal, as the chief guest. Nagaland State Treasurer, BJP, and Brand Ambassador of Friends On Wheels Motorcycle Club Nagaland, Kamal Bilala Jain, also attended the event.
The dignitaries were welcomed by president of Friends On Wheels Motorcycle Club Nagaland, Abhijeet Bharadwaj, and felicitated by Raja Paul and club members. Brigadier Janwal officially flagged off the rally at 7:20 AM, setting the tone for a disciplined and spirited ride.
The rally commenced from City Tower, Dimapur, and culminated at 9 Assam Rifles, Jalukie. Riders were received with great enthusiasm by Assam Rifles jawans, NCC cadets, and local citizens. The occasion was marked by the unfurling of the National Flag, followed by an inspiring address by Col. Mohit Bansal of 9 Assam Rifles. A patriotic band performance further elevated the celebratory atmosphere.
The event featured a range of activities including Tug of War, Slow Bike Race, Traditional Games, and the Fittest Rider competition. Winners were felicitated with prizes, adding excitement and joy to the day’s celebrations.
The “Ride With Pride – Vol. V” rally not only celebrated Republic Day but also strengthened the bond between civilians, youth and the Indian Armed Forces. The event reinforced values of unity, discipline, and patriotism, leaving a lasting impression on participants and spectators alike.
