Hollotoli School earns top honours at East India Debates & AVSMUN

Hollotoli School, Dimapur has earned top honours at two prestigious national-level interschool competitions hosted by The Assam Valley School, Balipara — the 19th East India Debates from July 13 to 15 and AVSMUN 2025 from July 17 to 19.
At the East India Debates, Hollotoli School’s debating team reached the Quarter Finals, placing among the Top 8 schools after three intense qualifying rounds. Shisalong Jamir (Class XII) was ranked among the Top 10 Best Speakers.
The debate tournament saw participation from renowned institutions including Vasant Valley School and The Shri Ram School (Delhi), DPS Guwahati, Bishop Cotton School (Shimla), and several others.
Following this, 17 students from Hollotoli School showcased their talent at AVSMUN 2025, where they competed with 190 delegates from 10 leading schools across the country.
Demonstrating strong diplomatic and leadership skills, Hollotoli School emerged as the overall winner, receiving the Best School Trophy.
Participating schools in AVSMUN included Assam Rifles Public School (Shillong), Jain International Residential School (Bangalore), Livingstone Foundation International (Dimapur), Ratankumar Memorial School (Imphal), Royal Global School and Sanskriti The Gurukul (Guwahati), Scindia Kanya Vidyalaya (Gwalior), and Vellore International School (Chennai).
In individual recognitions, Hollotoli School students brought home several awards: Best Delegate Awards: Chavi Jain (Class X), Lian Tungnung (Class X); High Commendation: Shisalong Jamir (Class XII); Special Mentions: Lhuvisieno Meyase (Class IX), Mannat Jain (Class X), Akangjungshi A Jamir (Class X), Neizoukim Tungnung (Class XI), Viliebinuo Rachel Vizo (Class XII); Most Promising Journalist: Lini Zhimo (Class XII) and Verbal Mention: Lithan E Tungoe (Class XII).
