In view of the state-wide mass social work to be held April 21, Home commissioner, Abhishek Singh has several guidelines, ac DIPR report stated.
Singh has directed district administrations to mobilise and co-ordinate the mass social work in their respective districts/sub-division/circle headquarters. All government servants have been asked to take part in respective stations.
Local authorities have been tasked to chalk out action plans for clearing of culverts/drains/water loggings/streets/office compounds etc.
Offices located in Kohima will concentrate on cleaning their respective premises, while officers and staff of the Secretariat will conduct the social work from 9 a.m. to 12 noon covering office rooms/corridors/toilets/office premises.
In addition to cleaning office rooms, Singh said jungle clearance on the front side, starting from road divider and surroundings upto gate 1 & 2 and parking area, has been assigned to NSSA and NCSA for overall supervision. NCCD has been asked to deploy staff for cleaning the outer toilet block behind the driver’s canteen.
In Dimapur, deputy commissioner, Sushil Patel informed that the social work will commence from 7 a.m. sharp in all the 23 wards. DMC has been directed to collect the garbage from all the wards. DC said that the district administration would strictly monitor and inspect all the wards during the time of social work.
