HoOs and DDOs trained on service matters

Around 2000 government employees comprising of Heads of Offices and Drawing & Disbursal Officers (DDOs) and staff were undergoing training on the latest and most relevant service matters like PIMS, ePay Bill, Pension, appointment to services, APAR, maintenance of Service Book and other issues.


The 16-day, training programme commenced on September 3 at the Administration Training Institution, Kohima. According to DIPR report, Commissioner and Secretary, P & AR, Anoop Khinchi, in his short speech said the purpose of organizing the training was for good governance.


According to Anoop, if an employee is not well quipped or does not have the knowledge of the rules; he can be unfair or be injustice that could make them unmotivated.


He therefore called upon them to be well equipped with all the latest rules and guidelines of the service matters as it can motivate an employee to contribute to the government.
He further said that the RTI has been opened to the public, and therefore advised the employees to be careful in discharging their duties accordingly.


Director, ATI & Secretary P&AR, Akunu S. Meyase in her welcome address said 110 DDOs and Senior Officers from the department of Health & Family Welfare, Veterinary & Animal Husbandry and Tourism were attending the first day of the training.


It may be mentioned that, the State Government is focusing on training as a mechanism to ensure good governance and as the biggest employer in the state. P& AR Department as the Nodal department entrusted with service matters in general and PIMS has initiated the training programme to ensure that Government employees who are either heading their respective offices or looking after establishment matters in the districts and sub-divisions were properly trained and equipped with the knowledge of the latest rules and guidelines on all important service matters.
