NDPP (CEB) vice president, T.L. Merry exuded confidence that Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) which consists of young and dynamic councilors will bring positive changes in Dimapur. He was speaking at the thanksgiving programme of Phyobemo Odyuo, elected member of DMC from Ward-11 at Dimapur Government College auditorium hall on Saturday.
With NDPP securing the majority seat in the DMC, Merry said with the strong backing of chief minister, Neiphiu Rio and NDPP president Chingwang Konyak, DMC will witness more development. He therefore encouraged the councilors to develop team work by engaging the new technologies. In his speech, Phyobemo thanked the legislators, party leaders, well-wishers and everyone for their support and putting their trust on him. He also sought continuous support in carrying out development activities.
Representatives from River Belt Council, Duncan Bosti Council, Er. N. Ghokuto Sema (retd) Superintending Er. NPWD and senior citizen Apong Imchen delivered short speeches. The programme began with an invocation, senior pastor LBCD, Dr. Yanbemo Ovung and benediction by Rev. Aronthung Odyuo pastor BLLBC.
