Hornbill Fest: Ngorayi wins stilt bamboo walk

Ngorayi Lohe (Chakesang) emerged as the winner of the stilt bamboo walking competition and walked home with cash prize money of Rs. 6000/- on day 5 of the ongoing Hornbill Festival at Kisama.
The runner-up was Tachiho (Pochury), who also received Rs. 4000 and second runner-up by Ketholel Noho (Angami) claiming Rs. 2000 cash prize.
Altogether, 11 persons from various tribes of Nagaland participated in the race and was witnessed by several tourists, visitors and locals. Bamboo stilt is an indigenous Naga traditional game which is played to determine a person’s ability, agility, flexibility and technique. The event was organized by the state Department of Youth Resource and Sports.
