Chief justice of Gauhati High Court, justice Sudhanshu Dhulia said that the dance and rhythm of Hornbill festival is unparalleled to any other festival.
He was speaking as the guest of honour during the fifth day of the Hornbill festival at Kisama, Sunday. Dhulia lauded organisers of the festival, who came up with great skill. The chief justice said Hornbill Festival is the festival of all festivals and it is growing every year. Dhulia said that he was totally charmed by the great diversity, rich and colourful heritage of Nagaland.
Having tested the cuisines and seeing the handicrafts, he said that the festival is going to be the most watched and most eagerly awaited festival not only in the country but internationally. Special guest, Chief General Manager (Operational) Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. Noonmati Guwahati, K. V Ramanmurthy extended greetings on behalf of Indian Oil Corporation. He said that with acceptance and appreciation, the traditions of Nagaland can be sustained.
Advisor Urban Development and Municipal Affairs, Dr. Neikiesalie Nicky Kire was the host. Cultural troupes of Kuki, Zeliang, Pochury, Ao, Lotha, Garo, Rengma, Kachari, Rengma, Sumi, Angami and Chakhesang enthralled the gathering by performing folk songs, folk dance and traditional games.
