Horti department inaugurates MSPL in Tuensang

Horticulture department Tuensang inaugurated mushroom spawn production laboratory (MSPL) at its office in the presence of director of Horticulture, Dr. R. Elithung on January 28. 

According to DIPR report, Dr. Elithung mentioned that the installation was the 6th one in the state sponsored by Ministry of Agriculture, India and implemented by the department. 
He mentioned that mushroom cultivation was one of the most promising, where less time was consumed for cultivation and harvest. 
He said that the spawn production lab in Tuensang will be very beneficial for both the consumer and the producer. 
Deputy director Horticulture, Bhupam Phom in his short speech said that every interested individual can train and get the needed spawn for the cultivation on self-sustenance base and will be very helpful for the economic point of view.
DAO Tuensang, K Showuba said that it was indeed a good initiative for the farmers of the district and encouraged all the Agri and allied departments to be proactive in bringing up such development in the district. 
Inaugural programme was chaired by HI, Chemlila while vote of thanks was given by HI, C. Yongkonglimba.
