House listing exercise at CM’s complex marks first phase of Census 2027

DIMAPUR: As part of the ongoing Census 2027 House Listing Operations (HLO), the official residence of the Chief Minister of Nagaland at the Chief Minister’s Residential Complex, Kohima, was covered under the exercise on July 2, 2026.
According to a DIPR report, the house listing of the residence of Chief Minister Dr. Neiphiu Rio was carried out under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner and Principal Census Officer, Kohima, B. Henok Buchem. The exercise was conducted in the presence of Director of Census Operations, Nagaland, Dr. Keneilhoutuolie Miachieo, Charge Officer, Kohima Sadar Rural, Seyiekhrietuo Solo, and other Census officials.
Officials confirmed that the operation was conducted in accordance with the prescribed procedures under the Census 2027 House Listing Operations. The HLO marks the first phase of Census 2027 and involves the collection of information on buildings, houses and household amenities. This data will facilitate the subsequent population enumeration, ensuring accuracy and preparedness for the next phase of the national census.
