HPC meeting discusses Tsg incident

A high powered committee (HPC) led by Nagaland commissioner Sentiyanger held a consultative meeting in connection with the Chendang and Yakor villages issue January 14.
According to a DIPR report, the members who attended the meeting included IGP Nagaland, secretary law & justice and ADC commissioner’s office along with deputy commissioner (DC) Tuensang and administrative officers, ADC Noklak, ADC Shamator, DIG NAP, Tuensang, SP Tuensang and his colleagues and the village councils of both the villages. After a thorough discussion on the issue, the HPC assured amicable solution at the earliest.
The committee also held another meeting with ENPO, ENWO, CKS, TVCU, USLP, KTC, ASUT and YUTT at DC’s conference hall Tuensang January 15. The meeting collected the opinions and suggestions of the apex civil society organisations and NGOs to maintain peace within the areas.
The members at the meeting assured the HPC of extending full cooperation to the administration in bringing a peaceful solution to the ongoing issues.
