Hollotoli School Dimapur (HSD) organised the 3rd Hollotoli Invitational Debate Competition on October 27, on the topic “Vocational education is more empowering than a college degree.” It was attended by ten schools, including the host school.
A press release by HSD department of English stated that cadet Dinglo Kodak and cadet Kohang Guing of Sainik School, Punglwa snatched the 1st position. Tongtien Longchar and Avigail N Mozhui of Delhi Public School, Dimapur bagged the 2nd position and Tolinoka A Zhimo and Manaba Aier of Hollotoli School came in 3rd. Prachi Prashant Sawant of Army Public School, Rangapahar was awarded the Best Interjector.
The panel of judges included Anjan Behera, assistant professor (English) St. Joseph University, Nagaland; Dr. Yanbeni Kikon, assistant professor (Pol. Sc), ICFAI University, Nagaland; Dr. H. Salome Kinny, assistant professor (Linguistics and Translation Studies) ICFAI University, Nagaland and Dr. Longchanaro Longkumer, assistant professor (English) ICFAI University.
