Kohima Village Students’ Union (KVSU), Little Star Higher Secondary School (LSHSS) and Sao Chang College (SCC), Tuensang organized a felicitation programme to honour the successful candidates of HSLC and HSSLC including the achievers of UPSC, NPSC and NSSB.
Little Star Higher Secondary School
LSHSS: Little Star Higher Secondary School (LSHSS) Dimapur organised a felicitation ceremony on May 1 for the outgoing students of Class X and Class XII who had cleared the HSLC and HSSLC Examination 2024. The school also facilitated the faculty of the school.
Speeches on behalf of HSSLC Science and Arts stream rank holders and achievers was delivered by Kethozeno Khate (Rank 5) HSSLC (Arts), Temjenlemla Longkumer (Rank 7) HSSLC (Science), while speech on behalf of HSLC rank holders was given by Eliyani R. Ovung (Rank 8) and Imkongsenla Longkumer (Rank 17).
The students, in their speech, thanked their parents and expressed their deep sense of gratitude towards the dedication shown by the school authorities and the teachers in educating them.
Teacher, Vihutuo was awarded the “Excellence in Teaching Award”.
In a closing remark, LSHSS chairman, Nini Sekhose mentioned ‘time’ as the most important asset of an institution, and advised teachers and students to use time wisely. She also reminisced on the founder of the school, late Sir P. Paira, whose vision has led to the success of the school.
Kohima Village Students’ Union fetes HSLC/HSSLC and achievers
KVSU: Kohima Village Students’ Union (KVSU) organised a felicitation programme to honour the successful candidates in various examinations on May 3 at Kohima Village Council Hall.
Gracing the event as special guest, Kethosituo Sekhose, president, Kewhima Gazetted Officers’ Krotho, director, Youth Resources and Sports encouraged the students and achievers to take firm and right decision in choose their path by seeking the guidance of the Almighty. Sekhose also spoke on the impact of the technology-driven and emphasized the importance of staying informed through reading to move forward.
Special guest Keneirienuo T Zatsu, deputy director, Industries and Commerce in her speech advised them to identify their strength and pursue it. She also advised them to contribute to the community even in a small way.
Kekhriengunuo Solo, Top 20- HSLC 2024 and Neiphrenuo Alemyin Isaac Solo, AIR 749: UPSC CSE 2023 delivered the achiever’s message. Altogether 139 students cleared HSLC and 122 in HSSLC examinton 2024 from units under the Kohima village- Dapfiitsumia Khel, Lhisemia Khel, Pfuchatsumia Khel and Tsütuonuomia Khel.
Neilhouzhii Kire award 2023 was awarded to Kekhriengunuo Solo (Top 20 position in HSLC examination 2024).Lhoulienyii Suokhrie award 2024 was awarded to Neingusanuo Kire for her achievement in Bachelor of Science (Botany) 2023 with a CGPA of 9.11 from Kohima Science College. An award was presented to Neiphrenuo Alemyim Isaac Solo who cleared UPSC CSE 2023(AIR 749). 20 successful NPSC candidates were also awarded and award of certificates were also handed to seven candidates who had successfully completed their PhD in different fields.
KVSU Meritorious Award (Gold medalist 2023) was awarded to Kevilhoutuo Dennis Sote, Kevisenuo Khezhie, Teisovinuo Khezhie, Gwen Khosangunuo Solo, Nourhevinuo Whuorie, Neimezhünuo Rutsa. Award was also presented to 10 successful candidates who cleared Nagaland Staff Selection Board.

Sao Chang College, Tuensang fetes UPSC achiever
SCC Tuensang: Sao Chang College (SCC), Tuensang, organised a felicitation program at College Conference Hall to honour Chubalemba B Chang who cleared the UPSC examination 2023 with 915 (AIR). In a press release, Media Cell of SCC, informed that the program commenced with a welcome address by vice principal, Longtichang Tzudir, who expressed the institution’s pride in Chubalemba’s accomplishment. Tongpangkokla Chang, Assistant professor & Head Department of Botany said that Chubalemba B Chang enrolled at Sao Chang College in 2012 and graduated (Science) in 2015.
During his days at the college, he was involved actively in many co-curricular activities and served as a General Secretary of the Sao Chang College Students’ Union 2013-2014, Tongpangkokla said.
Chubalemba B Chang in his speech shared his journey of preparing for the UPSC examination and emphasized the importance of perseverance, resilience, and a strong support system in achieving a milestone. He expressed gratitude to Sao Chang family for providing a strong educational foundation and fostering environment conducive to growth and learning.
The program was chaired by Dr. T Lal Veda Chandra Kumar, Associate Professor, department of Economics and vote of thanks by K. Vidila Jing, Assistant Professor & Head Department of Zoology.
