HSS Dimapur issues directives for Puja celebration

With a view to celebrate festival of victory of good over bad in peace, Hindu Seva Samiti (HSS) Dimapur has asked all puja pandals to abide the rules and regulations set by the samiti. 
Some of the directives issued by HSS Dimapur are as follows: all puja committees to perform the pujas in the true religious sprit & customs and to maintain proper discipline and decorum. All puja pandals should be erected in such a way they do not disturb public thoroughfare and pandals should display posters and banners on the theme of “Clean Dimapur-Hygenic & Healthy Dimapur & Save Electricity and relate puja with swatch Bharat campaign.
Loud speakers should not disturb the neighbourhood and general public and by put off by 10 p.m.; puja committees to keep a strict vigil to prevent and ban consumption of alcohol during the puja days and immersion functions. All committees to keep a strict vigil on the suspected or unclaimed articles lying in and around the puja pandals and must immediately inform the concerned police station to avoid any untoward incident. To ban the use of plastics and puja pandals to be more eco-friendly. 
On the Vijaya Dashami Day, HSS said the procession for the immersion would take place on September 30 at 7:30 a.m. sharp from the City Tower Junction. Members of all puja committees to wear the ethnic/ traditional costumes or white Chola- or pyjama t-shirts with logo of samiti during the immersion procession in order to show uniformity and integrity. In order to control the river pollution, all puja committees are requested not to bring any type of waste along with the idols. 
All puja committee have been requested to control their own members and prevent scuffles with the other puja committees or general public. All Puja Committees are given 15 volunteer cards along with two guest cards. Only the card holders will be permitted inside the Ghat and they are requested to take proper care of their idols till the immersion.  All Puja committees have been requested to avoid the use of candles and are requested to use only diyas/ deepaks (oil/ ghee lamps) in their pandals and temples.  All Puja Committees have been requested to co-operate with the District Administration, Police, Dimapur Municipal Council and Hindu Seva Samiti to ensure a smooth and joyous conduct of the pujas and immersion.
As per Dimapur police commissioner directive, all puja committees have been asked to install CCTV at puja pandals.
Special instruction for September 30:   As per the directive of the district administration, all puja committees have been not to holdup procession for unnecessary dance etc. for smooth function of traffic.
