The 29th wrestling meet 2024 of Secheku Wresting Association (SWA) was held on Friday at Porba village under Phek district.
Huluyi D. Vade-o bagged the champion title and pocket a cash prize of Rs. 1 lakh. Thuputha Hesuh, Huravo Vade-o and Kuvenu Puro stood 2nd, 3rd and 4th position and received Rs. 80,000, Rs. 60,000 and Rs. 40,000 respectively. In Under 16 category, Nuo Swuro, Vephi Kezo, Kuthosu Dzudo and Kho Vadeo stood 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th position and received Rs. 30,000, Rs. 20,000, Rs. 15,000 and Rs. 10,000 respectively.
Earlier, leader NPF Legislature Party Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu, MLA and president Chakhesang Union Chümoukedima, Thupuvecho Vadeo, graced the meet as the special guest and guest of honour respectively.
