HWC-SC inaugurated at Samson Village

DIMAPUR: Health & Wellness Sub Centre (HWC SC) at Samson Village was formally inaugurated on May 8 by Principal Director, Health & Family Welfare (DH&FW) Nagaland, Dr. Mereninla Senlem, with dedicatory prayer offered by pastor Avika Zhimo.
According to a press release from CMO office Dimapur, Dr. Senlem in her address noted that Samson Village was privileged to have a dedicated building for HWC SC along with staff quarters. She expressed pride in establishing a functional facility and emphasized the importance of preventive and promotive health care.
Encouraging the community to adopt organic food practices and healthy lifestyles, she informed that the Centre would provide 12 essential health packages, including NCD and communicable disease services, besides conducting regular health talks, yoga and meditation sessions.
Dr. Senlem urged the community to take ownership of the Centre, treat staff as their own and coordinate actively in its functioning. She expressed confidence that the HWC SC at Samson Village could serve as a model health centre for Nagaland.
Head GB of Samson Village, Samson Ayemi, described the day as historic, stating that the Centre would cover 10 neighbouring villages. He assured full community support in all health activities. Chairing the programme, CMO Dimapur, Dr. T. Yetovi Tuccu, said the department endeavours to bring health care closer to the community and to their doorsteps.

Atokhe Aye; DC (Taxes) Mokokchung, Mughato Aye; DMC Counsellor, George Ayemi; OSD, Niholu Ayemi; MD (NHM), Dr. Keveduyi Theyo; Jt. directors Dr. Khelito and Dr. Akum; CMO Chümoukedima, Dr. Yartenla Jamir; DTO, Dr. Benchilo Ngullie; MO, Dr. Nutalu; and staff under DPMU and BPMU Dhansiripar.
