I-Day preparations underway across districts

A coordination meeting for Independence Day celebration was convened on August 5 at DPDB Hall Longleng under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner W. Manpai Phom.
According to DIPR SDO (C) Meyazungba Jamir briefed officials on departmental work distribution and duty assignments. A mass cleanliness drive has been scheduled for August 9. All Heads of Departments attended the meeting.
The monthly Heads of Departments Coordination meeting under Chiephobozou Sub-Division, Kohima, was held at DB’s Court ADC Office on August 5.
Chairing the meeting, EAC Moasunep Jingru urged departments to coordinate effectively for the smooth conduct of Independence Day programmes. Departmental activities were presented by SDEO Visasielie Suhu.
In Tizit, a coordination meeting was held at ADC’s Conference Hall Tizit on August 5, chaired by ADC Relise Sangtam.
Assignments for various departments and institutions were deliberated and finalised, with SDC (C) designated overall in-charge. A mass social work will be held on August 9. The meeting was attended by officials from government offices, educational institutions, uniformed personnel, NGOs, Gaon Buras and Ward Chairmen.
