A team of Indian Air Force (IAF) led by commanding officer, 11 Airmen selection centre, Guwahati, wing commander, S. Shanmugam on April 18 met deputy commissioner (DC) Zunheboto, Rahul Bhanudas Mali and also visited Fazl Ali College (FAC) Mokokchung.
According to a DIPR report, the IAF team met the DC at the latter’s chamber and discussed the feasibility of conducting a recruitment rally at the district and to spread awareness about various job opportunities in IAF.
The DC, while thanking the purpose of the visit, assured team IAF of all necessary support towards the efforts of team IAF.
Meanwhile, the IAF team also called on DC Mokokchung, Shashank Pratap Singh to discuss the feasibility of conducting a rally in the district and to spread awareness in IAF.
The DC assured the IAF team of all support towards the effort of the team IAF.
Later at Fazl Ali College (FAC), wing commander S. Shanmugam interacted with students on various career opportunities and benefits in the Indian Air Force.
Some of the topics he discussed included – different types of entry points into the IAF; different branches of IAF; monitory benefits for both officers and airmen and career progression in the IAF
Earlier, the programme started with a welcome note from the vice principal of the college.
