Joint Coordination Committee (JCC) on IAS induction (CANSSEA, FONSESA, NIDA, NSSA & NF&ASA) Thursday announced its decision to intensify the ongoing pen down strike and tools down strike with effect from October 27.
JCC informed that the decision was taken at a meeting with All Nagaland Govt. Drivers’ Association, Nagaland Civil Secretariat Drivers’ Association, All Nagaland Directorate & District Govt. Drivers’ Union and Nagaland Civil Secretariat Grade-IV Staff Employees Association on October 19, 2025.
JCC stated that even as its pen down strike entered the 10th day, the state government was showing no signs of urgency and resolve. “It can be safely assumed that Political Establishment is deeply involved in the selection process thereby confirming that the IAS induction process reeks of manipulation and favouritism over merit,” JCC stated.
Further, JCC maintained that procedural errors and the bureaucracy had been relegated to mere scapegoat in their quest to facilitate their favoured candidate. JCC reaffirmed that democratic agitation would intensify phase-wise until its demands were met and transparency and merit restored by way of restoring the March 10, 2025 vacancy circular and withdrawal of non-NPSC/backdoor candidate from the Panel List/cancellation of the Panel List.
