ICAR Research Complex NEH Region, Nagaland Centre Medziphema conducted a demonstration on “oyster mushroom cultivation” on December 16 for the farmers of Zubza village under STC project.
A press release by ICAR Medziphema stated that the programme was coordinated by Dr. Rajesha G, scientist (plant pathology).
20 farmers including 11 women from the village participated in the demonstration programme. The demonstration was mainly focused right from spawn selection for mushroom cultivation till the harvesting of mushroom. It was followed by practical demonstration conducted by using paddy straw as a substance.
