As part of Krishi Samridhi Swarna Week, ICAR-Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Dimapur organized a vaccination and animal health camp on December 6 at Tsuuma village, Medziphema Block, Chumoukedima district. The camp aimed at improving livestock health and providing essential veterinary care.
Chief Technical Officer, Animal Science, KVK Dimapur, Dr. Ebibeni Ngullie, led and supervised the vaccination and animal health camp. He was assisted by YP-II, AICRP on Pig, Dr. Atokali Sumi and YP-II, AICRP on Pig, Dr. Keso Khutso from ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Nagaland Centre, who provided expertise. The camp addressed immediate health concerns and emphasized the importance of regular vaccinations and proper care for maintaining healthy livestock.
A total of 58 cattle and buffaloes were vaccinated against two major livestock diseases, Haemorrhagic Septicaemia (H.S) and Black Quarter (B.Q). In addition to the vaccinations, the camp also saw the distribution of anthelmintics, vitamin and mineral supplements, and first-aid medicines to 38 farm families.
