ICAR-KVK Longleng organized a five-day skill oriented training programme on “Recent advances in horticulture for entrepreneurship” from January 11 to 15 at at Nyang village, Longleng district.
A press release from course coordinator SMS (Horti), KVK Longleng, RK Roshan stated that, resource persons from different discipline namely Dr. R K Roshan, SMS (horticulture), KVK Longleng, Dr. K. L. Meena, sr. scientist and head, KVK Longleng, Dr. Lily Ngullie, SMS (animal science), KVK Longleng, Thungchanou E., programme assistant (home science), KVK Longleng gave lecture and conducted demonstration on different aspects of recent advances in horticulture. Altogether 28 farmers from Nyang village successfully attended the training programme.
Post training assessment was conducted for the participants and C. Bonghem, P.Mongnyei and S. Pongie got the first, second and third best participants award respectively. Input like garden tools, seeds, fertilizers were distributed as part of the programme.
