The Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS), Longleng, launched the 8th Poshan Maah 2025 at the CDPO office premises on September 22, with EAC Longleng, Imkongnukla Ao, gracing the occasion as special guest.
According to DIPR report, addressing the gathering, Imkongnukla Ao stressed the importance of adopting healthy lifestyle practices to improve overall well-being in the district. She highlighted the need to reduce excessive intake of sugar and oil, particularly in combating rising obesity levels. Emphasizing early childhood care, she called for greater sensitisation of men in building healthier families and communities.
Expressing appreciation to the Department of Social Welfare for organizing the programme, she acknowledged their continued support for maternal and child welfare. She also encouraged Anganwadi workers to remain steadfast in their commitment towards a healthier and progressive Longleng.
In his keynote address, Supervisor L. Shamdok Menlei Phom urged Anganwadi Workers and Helpers to intensify efforts in eradicating malnutrition and ensure the success of Poshan Maah 2025. District Coordinator S. Longhong briefed on the objectives and activities of Poshan Maah, while the programme was chaired by DPA, Y. Pauloi Phom. The launch reaffirmed the district’s commitment to nutrition awareness and community health.
