ICFAI holds workshop on ‘cyber security & ethical hacking’

A virtual workshop on “Cyber security, ethical hacking & career prospects of CyberSecurity” was organised by the department of Computer Science, ICFAI University, Nagaland in colaboration with Dataspace Security Pvt. Ltd. on August 9.

A press release by the University stated that the main topic of the workshop was “how hacker can hack our social media and smart phone through OTP bypass and E-commerce website bypass and how to secure from such attack”.

Resourse person, CEO & director Datasplace Security Pvt. Ltd. Samiran Santra briefed on how phishing websites are created and the risk of clicking unknown link, as it could lead to compromising basic details about the device resulting data breach.  

Delibrating on career prospect of cyber security, he said with the current situation the demand for cybersecurity expert  was increasing and cited security specialist, security analyst, security auditor, etc. as come of the job prospects.
