ICFAI University Nagaland hostsNJY Memorial Volleyball tournament

DIMAPUR, FEB 7 (NPN)

The ICFAI University Nagaland organized the NJY Memorial Rolling Trophy Volleyball Tournament in memory of its founder, late N. J. Yashaswy. The event brought together six teams, including four men’s teams and two women’s teams, showcasing spirited competition and student enthusiasm.
In the women’s category, Team Blue Lock emerged victorious, defeating Team Haikyu to claim the championship title. The men’s final witnessed a keenly contested match between Team Social Science and Team Humanities, with Team Humanities prevailing to lift the NJY Memorial Rolling Trophy.
The tournament commenced with a brief address by assistant professor of Philosophy, Rovikotuo Yhoshu, who reflected on the life and vision of Late N. J. Yashaswy and encouraged the players to embody his ideals both on and off the court.
The event highlighted sportsmanship, teamwork and vibrant student participation.
