ICFAI University Nagaland, and NexusCipherGuard India (OPC) Pvt. Ltd. signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on August 12, aimed at advancing collaboration in cybersecurity education, training, and research.
In a press release by ICFAI University Nagaland Registrar, Rupanka Bhuyan stated that the MoU was signed by ICFAI University, Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Saundarjya Borbora and NexusCipherGuard India, Founder, Pangerkumzuk Longkumer at the University’s Conference Hall, with faculty, students and representatives from NexusCipherGuard India in attendance.
In their addresses, both parties underscored the vital role of industry-academia partnerships in equipping students to navigate the ever-evolving digital landscape. The MoU outlines key areas of collaboration, such as organizing seminars, workshops, and hackathons; facilitating internships, placements, and exposure to real world projects; and enhancing the curriculum to align with industry needs.
Head of the Computer Science Department, Akumlong Longkumer, expressed optimism about the partnership, highlighting the potential for new opportunities in skill development, internships, innovation, and joint initiatives.
