ICSSR sanctions Rs 20 L for Tetso College research

In a significant boost to academic research in the region, the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) has sanctioned a grant of Rs 20,00,000 to two faculty members of Tetso College for a major project on rural women’s empowerment in Nagaland.
According to a press release from the college, the grant was officially announced on March 14, 2026, under ICSSR’s Scheme Major and Minor Research Project (2025–26). The approved proposal is titled: “Quasi Experimental Evaluation of Integrated Government Scheme Supported Social Business Models for Women Entrepreneurial Empowerment in Rural Nagaland.” The project will be jointly led by Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Management, Dr. Wapangsenla Imchen, as Project Director, and Assistant Professor & Head of the Department of Commerce, Dr. Ajay Chakraborty, as Co-Project Director.
