Indian Dental Association (IDA) members under Kiphire district conducted free oral and dental health awareness camp on July 22 at Longthonger village under Kiphire district. The awareness was also part of the IDA nationwide initiatives to focus on rural oral health. A press note by IDA Nagaland state branch president, Dr. Pfukrolo Koza stated that Dr. Wekhrou Mero, dental surgeon, District Hospital Kiphire; Dr. Vekulhu Tetseo, dental surgeon, CHC Pungro in coordination with Dr. A. Amos Sangtam, MO SHP Kiphire assisted by SHP nurse, medical attendants conducted the camp. During the dental camp, check up and dental treatment such as dental extractions etc. were done and free oral hygiene kit and medicines were also given away. It also stated that the 10th NER dental conference would from November 29 to 30, 2017.
