In commemoration of International Youth Day, the intensified IEC campaign will be launched in the state on August 12. This was informed by Nagaland State Aids Control Society (NSACS) project director Dr.Ahu Sekhose at a press conference held at the NSACs conference hall.
He said that the objectives of the campaign was to “enhance knowledge and understanding: equip the general population with accurate information about HIV and STls, Promote Safe Practices and Reduce Stigma: Foster an environment that encourages preventive measures and reduces discrimination against those affected”.
He said that the campaign will be launched by NSACS under the aegis of the National AIDS Control Organisation and will be carried out for two months period covering all districts. Deputy director (IEC) Thejangunuo Theunuo informed that they were expecting around 2500 student and delegates. They will also partner with NSACS “Red Warriors” social media influencers and vloggers to spread in engaging content.
