IFDOL holds follow up leadership progs

Institute For Development of Leadership (or IFDOL) held its first phase of the follow up leadership development training on June 27 at Tuensang district. The main aim of the follow-up leadership training was to highlight about the ‘simply telling stories’ (STS) to the church leaders of eastern Nagaland. During the three day training, IFDOL team led by project director (executive secretary of PBCA), Nuklu Phom and IFDOL consultant, (former principal CTC and president, NEALEAST), Rev Dr.Takatemjen conducted the training in different areas under Tuensang district as resource persons. They trained and interacted with more than four hundred church workers (pastors, church women leaders), tribal and public leaders of four eastern Nagaland tribes.  During the follow-up leadership training programme, the two resource persons covered different topics for the church leaders, the tribal and public leaders, and the women leaders. Speakers dwelled on the problems faced by the churches, the issues confronting the youths, environment and the need to conserve biodiversity, family and children etc.  The second phase, Institute For Development of Leadership (IFDOL) will cover Mon districts and Longleng in the month of July.  It may be noted here that the Institute for Development of Leadership (IFDOL) is a leadership development programme organized by the six Baptist Associations in Eastern Nagaland in partnership with its churches and the training integrates diverse subjects and issues challenging the present church ministry. It was started in the year 2013.
