IFM Academy hosts Kids Fashion Show in Dimapur

The Institute of Fashion and Modeling (IFM) Academy, in collaboration with IFM Kids Creative Centre, hosted a vibrant in house Kids Fashion Show on Saturday evening at IFM Academy,Dimapur in Duncan Bosti, Dimapur. The event brought together glamour, creativity, and celebration of young talent in a heartwarming display of confidence and style.
The event was graced by Department of Art & Culture, Commissioner & Secretary, Athel O Lotha, Miss Universe India 2024 3rd Runner-up, Sushmita Roy and Miss Universe India 4th Runner-up, Ruopfuzhano Whiso.
A total of 27 children from Dimapur participated in the fashion show. Certificates and medals were awarded to recognize their enthusiasm and participation.
The fashion show showcased performances by two groups of children, (ages 3–6) with a floral, animal, and pet theme, and Group B (ages 7–12) with a glamorous, red carpet look, who confidently walked the ramp accompanied by their mothers, creating a beautiful blend of family bonding and creative expression. The children, dressed by their parents at home, walked the ramp solo and later with their mothers, showcasing creativity and family bonding.
Earlier, the inauguration of IFM Academy, Dimapur took place in the morning with deputy commissioner, Dimapur, Dr. Tinojongshi Chang officially inaugurating it.
Speaking to Nagaland post, Institute of Fashion and Modeling (IFM) Academy, CEO, Kuntanil Das stated that while the fashion show was held in the evening to ensure convenience for all parents. The event was specially organized for the children, as the they believed there was no better way to begin the celebration than with the joyful presence of kids, noting that fashion show served as a perfect opening act, setting a warm and lively tone.
Das highlighted that the Academy also have IFM Kids, which is a sister concern of IFM Academy, IFM kids focuses on children. The aim is to train the children in future to take teen modelling seriously, and try to do catalogue and photo shoots in the future. He also noted that the institution was not yet ready, but stated that it would be fully functional within the next 15 days. Additionally, he shared that IMF academy Dimapur is planning for a monthly craft bazaar to support home-grown brands, where local businesses, can set up stalls to showcase and promote their products, with the aimed to help these small brands to drive sales.
