Advisor Soil & Water Conservation and Information & Public Relations (IPR), Imkong L Imchen, called on the Union Minister for Agriculture Narendra Singh Tomar at Krishi Bhawan, Delhi on Tuesday.
At the meeting, Imchen apprised Tomar of the various department activities in State and appealed to consider the proposals submitted. The department official, who accompanied the advisor, highlighted the ongoing Central Scheme implemented in the State and new project/proposal for the current financial year. Tomar welcomed the advisor and his department officials and assured to support the State.
Earlier, Imchen along with department officials met Jal Shakti secretary Pankaj Kumar at Jal Shakti Bhawan and discussed issues relating to new proposal submitted in the ministry.
Imchen requested the Secretary to look into department proposals. The Department officials also highlighted the ongoing projects work in the State.
The officials present at the meeting included commissioner (SPR) AS Goel and commissioner (FM) Atul Jain from Ministry and Soil & Water Conservation Department, director, additional director and project director, stated a press release issued by Nagaland House New Delhi senior PRO (IPR) Kuolie Mere.
