Imchen inaugurates MTM golden jubilee memorial complex

The ‘Golden Jubilee Memorial Complex’ of the Mangmetonglar Telongjem Mokokchung (MTM) at Sangtemla Ward was inaugurated on Monday by advisor of Soil and Water Conservation and IPR, Imkong L. Imchen after a dedication by Rev. R. Teka.
Speaking at the event, Imchen praised the MTM for successfully completing the complex, which he said would greatly benefit the people of Mokokchung. He commended the union’s unity, vision, and resilience, mentioning that development in Mokokchung was unique as it was driven by the community, unlike Kohima and Dimapur where development is led by the government and individuals, respectively.
Earlier, brief speeches were delivered by Mangmetong Village Council chairman Watitemjen, MBA pastor Dr. I. Lolen Imchen, and MSTM president Longriwati Imchen.
The programme began with a welcome address by MTM president Tekatsungla and was chaired by general secretary Limasenla. Scripture reading and invocation were offered by T. Ayula Imchen, while a special song was presented by Sutsungkala Pongen.
