IMD forecasts heavy rain in North Eastern states

DIMAPUR, JUN 23 (NPN): India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted heavy to very heavy rainfall (7-20cm) over North East region and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim during the week.
In its daily weather bulletin, the Met department predicted fairly widespread to widespread rainfall over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam & Meghalaya and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura during June 24-29, 2026.
It also stated that isolated thunderstorm & lightning were likely over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam & Meghalaya and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura during June 24-27, 2026.
Further, India Meteorological Department predicted isolated heavy rainfall over Arunachal Pradesh during June 26-29; Assam & Meghalaya during June 24-25 June and during June 28-29; Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura during 26-27 with isolated very heavy rainfall also likely over Assam & Meghalaya during June 26 & 27.
