DIMAPUR, JUN 28 (NPN): The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast fairly widespread to isolated heavy rainfall over Nagaland and the North Eastern region during the week.
According to IMD, fairly widespread to widespread rainfall likely over Arunachal Pradesh during June 29-July 2; Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura during June 29-July 4. Isolated thunderstorm and lightning likely over Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura during June 29-July 1; Assam and Meghalaya during June 29-July 2.
The IMD has further predicted isolated heavy rainfall over Nagaland during June 29 to July 1, Arunachal Pradesh during June 30-July 2; Assam and Meghalaya during July1-3; Mizoram, Manipur and Tripura during June 29-July1.
The forecast also indicated that fairly widespread to widespread rainfall is likely over most parts of the Northeast, including Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura, during the same period. Arunachal Pradesh is expected to receive widespread rainfall till July 2, followed by isolated to scattered rainfall on July 3 and 4.
