IMD issues orange alert for 3 districts

DIMAPUR, AUG 30 (NPN): The India Meteorological Department (IMD), Meteorological Centre Kohima, on Sunday issued an orange alert for August 31, forecasting heavy to very heavy rainfall of 12-20 cm over Mon, Tuensang and Kiphire districts.
The weather department has also forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall of 12-20 cm between August 31 and September 1 over Kohima, Kiphire and Phek districts.
Meanwhile India Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for August 31, with heavy rainfall of 7-11 cm likely over Kohima, Phek, Zunheboto, Mokokchung and Longleng districts.
IMD further said that isolated heavy rainfall of 7-11 cm is also likely over Peren and Dimapur districts.
