IMD issues ‘yellow alert’ for Nagaland

Meteorological Centre Kohima under India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued ‘yellow alert’ for Nagaland as the met department has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall activity over Nagaland till July 4.


According to IMD, heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at isolated places over Kohima, Tuensang, Wokha, Zunheboto, Phek, Kiphire and Mokokchung on July 1. On July 2, IMD said that heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at isolated places over Kohima, Kiphire, Tuensang, Phek, Peren and Dimapur and on July 3 heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at isolated places over Kohima, Kiphire and Tuensang.


Only July 4, IMD predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely to occur at isolated places over Kiphire, Tuensang and Phek.
