IMD predicts heavy rainfall

Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rainfall over the North Eastern region during the next five days.


According to IMD, isolated heavy rainfall is very likely over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh and Tripura during September 2-5.


IMD said the cyclonic circulation over Nagaland and neighbourhood extending upto 0.9km above mean sea level persists. It said that thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and gusty winds was very likely over the region.
