India Meteorological Department (IMD) has informed that under the influence of a Cyclonic Circulation, which lies over northeast Assam and neighbourhood in lower tropospheric levels, isolated to scattered light/moderate rainfall accompanied with thunderstorm, lightning & gusty winds (speed 30-50 kmph) was likely over Assam & Meghalaya and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura during next five days.
In its daily bulletin, IMD stated that scattered to fairly widespread light/moderate rainfall/snowfall accompanied with thunderstorm, lightning over Arunachal Pradesh during March 21-23 with Isolated heavy rainfall/snowfall on March 21 & 22. It also predicted that isolated hailstorms were likely over Assam & Meghalaya on March 20.
