IMD predicts wet spell across NE

NEW DELHI, JUN 14 (AGENCIES)

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast a spell of intense weather conditions across the North Eastern region, warning of moderate to heavy rainfall, thunderstorms with lightning, gusty winds, and a continued rise in day temperatures over the coming week.
According to IMD’s latest bulletin, several cyclonic circulations and troughs affecting Central Assam, South Bangladesh, the north Bay of Bengal and Odisha are expected to significantly influence the weather over the region.
IMD said that moderate rainfall is expected in most places across the region between June 15-18, while some states may witness heavy rainfall at isolated locations.
