IMD predicts wet spell over Nagaland and NE

DIMAPUR, JUL 31 (NPN): The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast fairly widespread to widespread rainfall across Nagaland from August 1-6, with isolated thunderstorms and lightning during August 1-4.
Similar widespread rainfall is expected over Arunachal Pradesh on August 1-2, Assam and Meghalaya on August 1-5, and Mizoram, Manipur and Tripura on August 1-6. Arunachal Pradesh is likely to receive isolated to scattered rainfall during August 3-6, while Assam and Meghalaya may experience similar conditions on August 6.
Thunderstorms and lightning are also forecast across the region during August 1-4. IMD has further predicted isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall over all seven northeastern states during August 1-6.
