IMD predicts widespread rain across NE region

India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast scattered to fairly widespread light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorm, lightning and gusty winds (30-50 kmph) across the Northeast over the next few days.
According to the forecast, such conditions are likely over Arunachal Pradesh during April 19-21, Assam and Meghalaya during April 19-22, and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura during April 19-20. IMD further stated that lightning activity is expected over Arunachal Pradesh during April 19–22, and over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura on April 21 and 22.
