IMDH construction issue: MTLT backs AKM’s demand

DIMAPUR, MAY 26 (NPN):

Mokokchung Town Lanur Telongjem (MTLT) on Monday “strongly” endorsed the demands of Ao Students Conference (AKM) regarding the “pathetic condition” of the Imkongliba Memorial District Hospital (IMDH) Mokokchung particularly the “visible sub-standard works” being conducted at the new hospital blocks.
MTLT through its media cell lauded AKM’s genuine concern and for undertaking an on-spot inspection of the ongoing works at the IMDH and taking stock of the situation on May 21, 2025.
Sharing the concerns raised by AKM, the Telongjem appealed to the responsible authority, especially the contractor (KC Infra Projects Pvt. Limited) to take the matter with all seriousness and rectify their mistakes at the earliest.
MTLT also backed AKM’s demand from the state government to give special emphasis on IMDH construction works, saying its completion was long overdue.
The Telongjem pointed out that IMDH was the first referral point for the patients in Mokokchung and remains the only hope for many patients to find a cure to their ailments.
Therefore, it demanded that authorities immediately address whatever dissatisfactions the AKM had raised with regard to the IMDH. MTLT affirmed that it was “ever ready” to stand with the AKM and render its wholehearted support to any course of action they take with regard to the IMDH issue.
