IMEI concludes one-yearmind education course

DIMAPUR: The International Mind Education Institute (IMEI), in collaboration with Mt. Mary College, Chumoukedima, concluded its one-year mind education course with a certificate-cum-workshop held at Grand Vista Hotel, Dimapur.
The first session was delivered by IMEI State in-charge for Meghalaya, Daiante Ch. Marak, on the topic “Self-Control: The Key to a Fulfilled Life.” In his address, he emphasized that while desire plays a significant role in driving human actions, the ability to exercise self-control is essential. He noted that unchecked or misunderstood desires often lead to dissatisfaction, highlighting the importance of developing inner discipline.
The second session was led by director of IMEI North East Udayaraj Paundel, who spoke on “Applying Mind Education in Daily Life.” He encouraged participants to move beyond blindly trusting their thoughts and instead cultivate deep thinking and heartfelt communication. He illustrated how misunderstandings in relationships, particularly during youth, can be resolved through the principles of Mind Education, leading to transformation and clarity.
Other highlight of the event was the sharing session by two students, who testified to their personal experiences and transformation journeys throughout the duration of the course.
In his address, managing director, Mt. Mary College Dr. Teeya Imsong, urged the graduates to actively implement the principles of Mind Education in their everyday lives. He also expressed gratitude to Almighty God for guiding him through life’s challenges and inspiring him to support such meaningful initiatives.
Earlier, the programme begin with a word of prayer by Grace Gospel Mission, Hindi Nagamese Church, Dimapur, pastor Sona Abraham while the welcome address was delivered by course director, IMEI Ansai B. Basumatary. The event also featured adance performance by the group “The Righteous Stars,”.
The program concluded on a note of celebration and reflection, marking not only the successful completion of the course but also the beginning of a continued journey of applying Mind Education in personal and social life.
