Excise (Mobile Squad) special surveillance team conducted raids at several places in and round Dimapur on July 6 and 10.
During the raids, the team seized 1376 bottles of assorted liquor, said SP (MS) Katoho Sumi in a press statement. He said that further investigation is underway for violating various section of NLTP Act ’89.
He further said that the seized articles have been kept at the Mobile Squad cell malkhana. SP also appealed to all and sundry to provide valuable feedback to the excise department relating to illegal storage, possession and sale of consumption of liquor.
He also sought cooperation from the citizens, while the law enforcing agency was executing its task to curb the flow of liquor. The department is always ready to act for the same at any given point of time, he said.
